Common Questions
How do I sign in?
Texas Wedge Club uses passwordless sign-in. Enter your email address and we'll send you a one-time link. Open the email on your phone and tap the link — it drops you straight into the app, signed in. There's no password to create or remember.
I didn't get my sign-in email.
- Check your spam or promotions folder — the link comes from our sign-in service.
- Make sure you typed your email correctly, then request a new link.
- Open the link on the same phone that has the app installed, so it can hand you off to the app rather than a browser.
- Links expire after a short while for security — if it's been a while, just request a fresh one.
How do I create a league?
From the home screen, choose to create a league. Give it a name and a password (your members use it to join), pick the draft type, set your scoring rules, add the members you want, and select the tournaments you'll play. You're the commissioner of any league you create.
How do I join a league someone else made?
Use Join Another Leagueand enter the league's name/password from your commissioner. Your spot is tied to the email you signed in with, so make sure it matches the email you were invited under.
What's the difference between a snake draft and a tier draft?
Both lock your roster before the tournament starts:
- Snake draft:Teams pick in order, then the order reverses each round (1-2-3, 3-2-1, and so on) so picking last isn't a permanent disadvantage.
- Tier draft: Golfers are grouped into tiers by ranking, and each team picks one golfer from each tier — so every roster has a mix of favorites and longshots.
How does scoring work?
Your team total is built from your golfers' scores, using the rules your commissioner set when the league was created:
- Best scores counted: Only your top finishers count. For example, with a 6-golfer roster and 4 scores counted, your best 4 golfers make up your total.
- Missed-cut penalty:If one of your golfers misses the cut, a penalty is added for the rounds they didn't play.
- Event weighting: Majors, signature events, and the playoffs are worth more toward the season standings.
Why aren't the scores updating?
Scores sync automatically during tournament rounds from a public sports-data source. If they look stale:
- There may simply be no play happening yet — scores fill in once a round is underway.
- Updates can lag the live broadcast by several minutes.
- Pull to refresh, or check your internet connection.
- The field has to be imported for an event before scores can attach to your golfers — your commissioner handles this when setting up the tournament.
How do notifications work, and how do I turn them off?
With notifications on, Texas Wedge Club lets your league know when the draft is scheduled, when the draft order is set, when the draft goes live, and when each round and the tournament finish.
- Toggle them per league in the app: Settings → Push notifications.
- You can also disable them entirely in your phone's system settings for the app.
Who is the commissioner and what can they do?
The commissioner is whoever created the league. They manage the tournament list, scoring rules, and the draft — including setting the draft order and starting the draft. Other members draft their own teams and follow the leaderboard.
Is Texas Wedge Club affiliated with the PGA TOUR?
No. Texas Wedge Club is an independent app for friendly fantasy leagues and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the PGA TOUR, any tournament organizer, or any data provider. Scores are shown for entertainment and informational purposes.
